When it comes to teaching how to develop a truly spectacular presentation, Nancy Duarte is the guru. I have learned more from her than almost any other expert on the topic of presentations. She has a couple of really phenomenal books out, Resonate and Slide:ology. Both are written very well. The central theme of her books is related to connecting with your audience –by way of clever slides and a brilliant message. If you want to be a REALLY good presenter and move beyond creating boring Power Point slides, you have to read her books. They will change the way you think about presenting to live audiences. By the way, the book Resonate can be purchased from the iBook Store. This version is interactive with video clips, pictures, etc. Very, very cool.
